Ice Age Inspired Makeup Look

Every single makeup look so far has a set of nails that I designed to go with them.  Most of these nails are featured in each shoot and this and the next post don't have any.  The reason why this post has none because it was a nightmare keeping them on!  Lets talk about my makeup secrets now.  I design my nails first and then instead of using glue, I use blutack.  Why?  This whole series has 20 makeup looks, and some days for example this day I actually created 3 looks in one day.  Imagine how messed up my nails would be from using glue, then taking it off, to using it again... no thank you!  I had to balance between taking the photos, hold the plastic wrap and posing all at the same time while trying not to get blue body paint speared on the white surfaces that surrounded me.  Some people will look these images and be like aw this is nice, when in reality the makeup takes about 2-3 hours, the shooting takes about 30 and then I have to edit down about 200 photos to 1.  It's not such an easy process!

Again I used a pair of Illamasqua lashes for this look and they were perfect for the makeup!  I mainly used MAC makeup to create this look as they have some amazing highlighters.  I also used Illamasqua the second most as I love their pure pigments as they are ridiculously pigmented.  I used 'Breath' in nearly every shoot and it's nearly empty now which is sad!  I do hate the packaging though, the shape I love, but it's just not practical, and oh god don't get me started on trying to get their liquid metals out!  Nightmare!  But having said that it's always worth it as they are both fantastic products!
