Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)

Star Trek is a prime example of film snobbery.  Some people say they have never watched it because they have never given it a chance, and some people think it's just too nerdy for them and there better than that.  The truth is that Star Trek is epic and if you want to miss out then thats your problem!  I love the following Klingons get, how people get married dressed up like them and how people learn their language.  Its fascinating to me and I've never really got it till I watched this film.  I loved the way J.J. Abrams portrayed the Klingons, it reminded me slightly for Stargate, and well I approved of their look! I knew straight away I wanted to create a makeup look based on them and that was really when I decided right, I need to start creating Vanity Nightmare at the Movies.

I shot this look late at night and the camera was on auto and started doing a low shutter speed.  At first I was like oh god, then I thought, wait a second, slow shutter speed, flash, wig... it's time to whip my hair back and forth.  I managed to get some really great shots but in the end I settled for this one.  I chose this image because it makes me laugh so much!  It reminds me of people who have fake weaves and think their amazing and the whole look kinda reminds me of some kinda warrior princess.  It's almost Wonder Woman meets Xena, meets Klingons meets Katy Price.  It's a very glamourous Klingon and it's exactly how I would portray one in Vanity Nightmare!
