Star Wars Phantom Menace Inspired Makeup Look

Star Wars Phantom Menace (1999)

If you thought the inspiration behind the overall look here was just Darth Maul then this would be the worst Darth Maul you've ever seen.  The only part that he inspired here are the black horns, black since he had marks on his face and they are in the shape of horns since he had some!  It all makes sense now right??  I never steal ideas from other people on purpose but here I stole an idea from Rankin as I've always wanted to paint myself black and spray with glitter!  I'd love to do this to my face as well but I'd need a little help for that since I won't be able to see for a little while!  I do want to start creating more art creations and less makeup based ones so maybe I'll revisit this idea as I also discovered the magic of coloured hair spray cans to use as quick body paint!

I love Star Wars, I've played the games, I've played the Lego version games, I've played with action figures and I've also played with the Lego action figures, all in all, I love Star Wars!  I love films based in space and I watch anything that isn't scary, apart from Prometheus but I saw that on a flight back from New York and it was a little less scary!  I'm scared of alot of things, but Aliens scare me the most. E.T. scares the hell out of me, and I was pretty young when I saw it for the first time and I don't know, it must have emotionally scared or something!  Films that combine horror and aliens then no thank you, films that combine aliens and happy lighted plots then great!  Although Star Wars isn't exactly all happy... For my 18th birthday I went to a Star Wars exhibition in London which to the best of my knowledge is the biggest Star Wars exhibition they have ever done.  There was everything there, small sets of how they made a whole audience using a mixture of paper and paperclips, huge real scale spaceships, costumes, makeup, everything you could imagine. It was amazing and I'm so glad I got to see it up close and personal!
